Criteria

Nominees will be judged by evidence found within the application on the following categories:

  • Providing support and information for council members on strategies that individuals can use to advocate for literacy issues (e.g., through a council web site, listserv, newsletter).

  • Advocating literacy issues at the local, state, or national level (e.g., providing testimony for legislature, meeting with local school board, publishing op-ed pieces in the newspaper)
